Son tells Mary Jane Veloso: ‘Proud na proud po ako na kayo po ‘yung naging nanay ko’

Mary Jane Veloso’s two sons, 23-year-old Mark Daniel Candelaria and 17-year-old Mark Darren Candelaria, express their gratitude and love for their mother as she finally walks free after 16 years of detention. The two spoke in a press conference with their mother and her supporters in Quezon City on Saturday, September 26. Veloso’s sons were only little boys when she was duped into carrying drugs, and subsequently arrested in Indonesia, in 2010. She had wanted to work overseas to provide for her family back home in Nueva Ecija.
