Spain's Sanchez slams Gaza genocide, calls for support for rights institutions during UN address

During his address to the UN General Assembly on Wednesday, Spanish President Pedro Sanchez warned against the growing influence of “selfish, ignorant and cruel forces”.  “I've seen how they took off their masks and seized power in many places. And then I saw them start illegal wars, massacre innocent civilians. I've seen them treat millions of human beings like livestock, and take away aid from those suffering the most,” he said. He also reiterated Spain’s position condemning “the genocide that Netanyahu is still perpetrating in Gaza” and called for strengthening rights institutions like the International Criminal Court.
