'Diana most hunted person of modern age' says Charles Spencer at her funeral

At Princess Diana’s funeral, her brother, Earl Charles Spencer, delivered a powerful speech about the relentless scrutiny his sister faced from the press. His words prompted spontaneous applause inside Westminster Abbey, as mourners appeared to show their support for his condemnation of the treatment Diana had endured throughout her royal life. He said: “Of all the ironies about Diana, perhaps the greatest was this: a girl given the name of the ancient goddess of hunting was, in the end, the most hunted person of the modern age.” Now, Spencer’s book 'Swan Song' has thrust Diana’s death back into the spotlight, detailing what the days around her death were like - and the alleged reactions of members of the Royal Family. #news #royals #royfalfamily #diana #princessdiana #queen #royalty Subscribe to stay informed: http://bit.ly/ODNsubs TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@ondemandnews Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ondemandnewsofficial Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ODN/ If you wish to purchase any of our clips for commercial use, please visit: http://www.itnproductions.co.uk/news/
