King’s College London x Dame Vivienne Westwood

King’s College London's graduation gowns, designed by Dame Vivienne Westwood, bring together centuries of academic heritage with contemporary design. Dame Vivienne Westwood worked alongside King’s alumnus and academic dress expert, Father Philip Goff, to create a distinctive palette, with each colour representing a different King's faculty. One of Westwood’s own choices was lilac for Nursing, Midwifery & Palliative Care, reflecting her personal connection to the profession.
