Description

Eating Turkish Delight and drinking Turkish Tea in Istanbul, Turkey (İstanbul'da Türk Lokumu yemek). I was first enamored by Turkish Delight while reading The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe as a young child. It just happened that one of my Mom's best friends had recently returned from Turkey and brought back Turkish delight. I was able to try the authentic thing and I fell in love with this delicious sweet on the very first bite. It comes a variety of different flavors including many of fruits such as kiwi, strawberry, pomegranate, orange, lemon and apple. My personal favorites are strawberry and pomegranate. Premium versions come stuffed with nuts, dates, walnuts or even pistachios. The most expensive variety I've seen included pistachios and shredded coconut. While wandering around in Istanbul we spotted a two stores specializing in Turkish delight and other Turkish desserts such as Baklava. We decided to sit down and enjoy a couple of plates of Turkish Delight over a cup of Turkish Tea. I ended up ordering strawberry Turkish delight dusted with icing sugar while Audrey selected a Pomegranate flavored one stuffed with pistachios and covered in shredded coconut. I tried Turkish Apple Tea which tasted very similar to warm apple cider. It was a perfect compliment to the sweet Turkish candy. حلقوم Türk mutfağı Türk gıda İstanbul'da içme çay Türk çay içme Türk lokumu yemek İstanbul, Türkiye , Türk Lokumu ve içme Türk Çayı ( İstanbul'da Türk Lokumu YEMEK ) Yeme Aslan, Cadı ve genç bir çocuk olarakGardırop okurken ilk Türk Lokumu ile aşık oldu .
