Martin Short opened up about the heartbreaking connection between the loss of his daughter Katherine Short and the death of his late wife, Nancy Dolman. In a May 15 interview with The New York Times, Martin reflected on Katherine’s death by suicide earlier this year at age 42, sharing that her struggle with mental illness reminded him of Nancy’s final battle with ovarian cancer before her death in 2010. The Only Murders in the Building star recalled Nancy’s final words to him as “Martin, let me go,” and explained that in many ways, he heard a similar message in his daughter’s pain.
