A fire at a Dow chemical plant in Louisiana set off multiple explosions, according to officials. Witnesses could see the activity for miles. The local parish initially advised residents to remain indoors and turn off their air conditioners. Hours after the fires started, Dow released information saying that all employees were safe and accounted for. The company claimed its air monitors were also not detecting hazardous materials.
