Israeli settlers set fire to mosque in Palestinian village

Israeli settlers set fire to a mosque in the occupied West Bank village of Mikhmas on Wednesday and spray painted its outer walls with racist slogans.  “We have stepped up security in the town because we fear they might set fire to people’s homes, especially those on the outskirts,” said Ata Kaana, a town resident.  Since October 2023, Israeli settlers have ramped up attacks against Palestinians, spurred on by Benjamin Netanayh’s far-right government.
