J&K Waqf Board Sermon Proposal Sparks Outcry | Opposition Slams Move, Board Denies Directive | PDP

A major controversy has erupted in Jammu and Kashmir following reports that the Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board advised imams and clerics across its institutions to focus Friday prayer sermons on uniform social issues, such as drug abuse. The proposal drew strong criticism from regional political leaders and Islamic scholars. Peoples Democratic Party chief Mehbooba Mufti termed the initiative religious interference and an attempt to advance a political agenda, calling the move completely unacceptable. #JammuAndKashmir #WaqfBoard #FridaySermon #itwebvideos #KashmirNews #MehboobaMufti #OmarAbdullah #KashmirPolitics #Srinagar #WaqfControversy #JammuKashmir #Khutba #MMU #IndianPolitics #IndiaToday #ValleyNews Subscribe to India Today for NEW VIDEOS EVERY DAY and make sure to enable Push Notifications so you'll never miss a new video.
