Palestinians hold funeral for people killed in Israeli strikes

In Khan Younis, Palestinians are holding funerals for people killed in Israeli air strikes. On Sunday, a strike hit a tent in Mawasi and killed three people, according to medics. Mourners buried some of those killed in Mawasi, along with victims of earlier strikes. “Every day there are martyrs,” said displaced Palestinian Yahya Abu Shamala, who described young men running a charging station to earn a living before flames erupted. Gaza health officials say at least 1,400 Palestinians have been killed by the Israeli army since the October 2025 ceasefire. The Israeli military said it struck militants in the area.
