Hugh Hefner's Widow Asks Jessica Biel to Drop Out of Playboy Movie | E! News

After Jessica Biel was cast to play Hugh Hefner's wife in the upcoming movie Playmates, the late Playboy founder's widow Crystal Harris issued a plea for the actress to "reconsider" her role. Harris wrote in an Instagram private message to Biel, which she publicly shared in an Oct. 8 post, "Please reconsider playing Hugh Hefner’s ‘wife’ if this film intends to romanticize him or the Playboy world, I was actually his wife, and I experienced sexual, emotional, financial and physical abuse in that relationship." Harris—who is now married to businessman James Ward—has been candid about her past marriage to Hefner, alleging that it was "emotionally abusive" and "very restrictive." E!
