Elderly Assistance Programme allocation increased to RM1.3bil

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced on Friday (Oct 9), that the allocation for the Elderly Assistance Programme will be increased to RM1.3bil next year, benefiting nearly 200,000 recipients. He said the move was part of the government’s efforts to prepare the country for an ageing population.
