My Favourite Gaming Handheld Console of 2026! | MSI Claw 8 Ex AI+ Review

Comment

Details

Description

Reviewing the MSI Claw 8 Ex AI+ using the Intel Arc G3 Extreme, one of the best handheld gaming devices of 2026 so far. This handheld console review dives into my favourite features and the gaming performance, plus battery life and beyond.

The MSI Claw 8 Ex AI+ may be great and all, but it's also one of the most expensive mobile game consoles around. That sky high price pays for the new Intel Arc G3 Extreme, while quite a few of the rest of the specs remain unchanged from the previous model. You've got another 8-inch IPS screen, another stereo speaker setup, the same ports and another 80Wh battery.

So, is the MSI Claw 8 Ex AI+ worth that cost? Well, I've been testing this gaming handheld console with Control and Lego Batman this past week - two AAA titles, which are demanding for portable devices like this. Lego Batman boasts optimisations for the Intel Arc G3 Extreme however, as we show in this test.
