Actor Ed Burns on returning to his indie roots after '27 Dresses,’ 'Saving Private Ryan'
Details
In this episode of “The Drink,” Kate Snow sits down with filmmaker, actor, and writer Ed Burns. Over a non-alcoholic Guinness, Burns talks about his new novel, inspired by his own childhood on Long Island, the unlikely break Robert Redford gave him in the 90s and why — after starring in big Hollywood films like “Saving Private Ryan” and “27 Dresses” — he keeps returning to his indie filmmaking roots. Plus, Burns gets personal about his decades-long marriage to supermodel Christy Turlington.
VOCO Roofbar in Times Square provided the location for this interview.
