Kochi Mini Cooper Hit-and-Run: 4 Accused Remanded, FIR Lapses Spark VIP Entitlement Row
Details
Four accused involved in the fatal Kochi hit-and-run incident have been arrested and remanded to police custody until 5:00 PM tomorrow. A speeding Mini Cooper driven by an inebriated teenager rammed into a two-wheeler, killing three students. Police confirmation established that the teenage driver was under the influence of alcohol during the crash. Controversy emerged over alleged investigative lapses, as the initial First Information Report did not record the driver's address or intoxication status. Following scrutiny over VIP entitlement, the Kerala government stated that a detailed and impartial probe would be conducted and stringent legal action taken.
