Super Six: Delhi Police Foils Protest March At CP, Detaines Dipke | Cong Restricts CJP In Bengaluru
Details
Delhi witnessed intense activity as police initiated detentions following protests and a Tiranga rally called by the CJP and left-backed groups across Connaught Place, Mandi House, and Jantar Mantar. Prohibitory orders under BNS 163 were enforced in central Delhi, keeping Central Park heavily fortified, while traffic movement and metro stations remained operational to minimise public inconvenience. Key participants, including Abhijit Dipke and Neha Bora, were placed under preventive detention. Meanwhile, a major political showdown erupted over protests in Bengaluru, where the Karnataka government and police denied permission for a stir at Town Hall, permitting only a conditional 100-metre flag march without slogans or placards in line with High Court directives. On India Today's Super 6, Karnataka BJP spokesperson Bhaskar Rao supported the administrative restrictions citing court guidelines and traffic issues, while Congress national spokesperson Arshpreet Khadial accused the ruling BJP of hypocrisy and suppressing citizen demonstrations across the country.
