Delhi Police have registered a non-cognizable report against unknown persons following an alleged threat made to a Subdivisional Magistrate at Mandir Marg Police Station. The incident occurred in connection with the bail proceedings of Ashutosh Ranka and Saurav Das. A party representative alleged procedural delays, stating that the magistrate avoided hearing the matter after claiming to have received a death threat. Network correspondent Anshul Singh reported that the magistrate's claim creates a legal conflict of interest, preventing him from ruling on the case. With the judicial custody of both accused ending, authorities are investigating the threatening communication while an extension plea remains pending.
