"Shut down every relief valve!" Cuba delivered an explosive UN address, exposing a severe US fuel blockade and 7,000 stranded supply containers. Watch! Severe Energy Blockade & Stranded Containers:Cuba revealed that since January 2026, the US imposed an energy blockade prohibiting fuel exports to the island—amounting to an illegal naval blockade under international law. Over 7,000 containers filled with food, medicine, and medical devices remain stranded in international ports. Targeted Economic Suffocation Strategy: Citing official statements, Cuba exposed a State Department objective to eliminate every survival valve for the island, invoking the 1960 Mallory Memorandum strategy of inducing hunger and desperation to overthrow the government. Pressure on Cuban Medical Missions: Havana condemned a State Department meeting aimed at threatening sovereign governments to renounce Cuban altruistic medical cooperation, depriving vulnerable populations of free healthcare. Rebutting "Failed State" & Threat Allegations: Rejecting claims that Cuba is a "failed state" or a security threat, Cuba questioned why a nuclear superpower would impose secondary sanctions and blockades on a small developing island nation. Rejection of Monroe Doctrine & Sovereignty Defense: Cuba repudiated the Monroe Doctrine, reaffirmed Latin America and the Caribbean as a Zone of Peace, backed Puerto Rican independence, and stated its readiness for respectful bilateral dialogue based on sovereign equality. #Cuba #USCuba #CubaNews #CubaBlockade #USSanctions #EnergyCrisis #FuelCrisis #CubaUN #UnitedNations #UNGA #USForeignPolicy #CubanEmbargo #LatinAmerica #Caribbean #MonroeDoctrine #CubanMedicalMissions #Geopolitics #WorldNews #InternationalNews #NDTVDigitalOriginals About NDTV (English news channel): NDTV is India's Most-Trusted News Broadcaster with the latest updates in news, sports, entertainment and much more from within India and around the world.
