Description

Blue tiles in Pakistan carry a story that stretches back to the days of Persian and Central Asian influence, when craftsmen brought with them the art of kashi kari. Cities like Multan and Thatta became famous for their glazed blue tiles, decorating shrines, mosques, and tombs with patterns that seemed to mirror the sky.

Each tile was more than decoration, it was a symbol of faith, beauty, and craftsmanship. At the Lahore Museum’s Islamic Gallery, you can see these tiles up close, preserved as a reminder of how art and devotion once blended to create timeless architecture.
