Kara and I are both BIG Lord of the Rings and Hobbit fans so when we started to plan our trip to New Zealand we knew we wanted to visit Hobbiton! While RVing around New Zealand we stopped close to the town of Cambridge, New Zealand where the Hobbiton movie set is located. The entire area around Hobbiton makes you feel like you're in the movies! Hobbiton is surround by green rolling hills dotted with sheep. We were lucky enough to camp only a few minutes away from the movie set. It literally felt like we were camping in the Hobbiton movie set! After staying the night only a couple minutes down the road, we woke up early to take one of the first tours around the Hobbiton movie set. We usually don't pay for tours like this… However, the tour around the Hobbiton movie set was totally worth it!!
