Trump Wants to Rename AI ‘Super Intelligence’ in UN Speech

Comment

Details

Description

Donald Trump has called for artificial intelligence to be renamed “super intelligence”, arguing that the word “artificial” makes the technology sound “fake”.

Speaking to world leaders at the United Nations General Assembly, the US president said government documents would use the term “super intelligence” instead of artificial intelligence going forward.

Trump praised the technology as “amazing”, but it remains unclear whether any official order has been issued to formally make the change.
