Breezy Johnson has another reason to celebrate at the Winter Olympics! Just a few days after the ski racer won gold during the women’s downhill final, she got engaged to her boyfriend, Connor Watkins. Watkins proposed to Johnson at the base of the super-G finish line after she crashed out of the race. As he got down on one knee, the athlete became visibly emotional, per NBC News. The outlet added that once she accepted, the couple shared a kiss as they were surrounded by cheers from teammates and officials. In addition to her engagement ring, which featured a blue gem, Johnson received a piece of wood with carved lyrics from Taylor Swift’s “The Alchemy.” “Honestly, who are we to fight the alchemy?" the sentimental gift read. Swift noticed the shoutout and congratulated the couple on their engagement. NBC News additionally reported that the 30-year-old had hinted about a proposal like this to Watkins before, saying that she "may have told him that I just always kind of had the dream of getting engaged at the Olympics."
