Description

Australian man Robert Pether, who spent years in a Baghdad prison, has reunited with his family in Ireland after his travel ban was lifted.
The engineer and his Egyptian colleague, Khalid Zaghloul were convicted by an Iraqi court of fraud charges related to the Central Bank of Iraq headquarters construction project.
His family has vehemently denied these allegations and accused Iraqi officials of coercing his confession. Pether was released from prison in June last year but was banned from leaving Iraq until this week.
